Shana Kittrell has been dancing her entire life, starting at the age of three in Boise Idaho. She has always been passionate and had a love for dance at an early age. She has trained in various styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary. As a kid she was into competitive studio dance and worked under the direction of Brian Friedman in Scottsdale, Arizona.
When she moved back to Boise she continued her competitive studio career at Impulse Dance studio and Studio C. Shana was captain of the Timberline High School dance team and won Miss Dance Idaho 2003. Shana attended Boise State University where she was a Maneline dancer and loved dancing on the BLUE! GO BRONCOS! After college Shana danced under the direction of Jaime Moore and was captain of the professional dance team, Boise Burn Hotshots.
She started teaching at the age of 18 and has had the opportunity to teach at various studios and schools all over the valley. Shana has choreographed national winning routines for multiple high schools. Shana was assistant coach of Sweet Liberty dance team in 2004 and assistant coach of Nampa High dance team in 2008. She later took on head coach of her alumni Timberline High School Silver Legacy, bringing home Timberlines first national dance title.
Shana’s favorite thing about dance is the creative outlet it provides for everyone, she has an edge for competitive dance and thoroughly enjoys helping dancers reach their full potential. Hip Hop and Jazz are her specialty and she loves to choreograph routines for all ages and all levels. Shana will bring out routines that are hard hitting, fast paced and sassy.
Shana is currently a Barre3 instructor at Barre3 Eagle and her and her husband live in Meridian, ID. They have two sassy little girls ages 4 and 2 who are already dancing all over the house. She has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary studies with an emphasis in leadership, from Boise State University. Shana is so excited to continue her teaching career with Studio Move!
